Tua is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work (First-Class Honours) and a Master’s in Forensic Mental Health.
He takes a holistic approach to mental health treatment and recovery, integrating social, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and environmentally grounded interventions. His practice incorporates somatic techniques, outdoor therapy, and movement-based approaches to help clients with their recovery and reconnect with their bodies and surroundings. By combining mindfulness, breathwork, and body awareness with the therapeutic benefits of nature, he supports individuals in processing stress, trauma, and life challenges.
Tua works with adults and older adolescents experiencing a range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, and significant life transitions. His therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual’s needs, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and narrative-informed practices.
Where clinically indicated, he offers outdoor therapy sessions as part of a comprehensive, clinic-based mental health treatment plan. For more information about the benefits of outdoor therapy, please visit our Services section.
Tua offers sessions on Saturdays and evenings during the week, and his waiting times range from 4 weeks to 4 months, depending on the presenting concern.
